Understanding and comparing contracts won’t have to be done by yourself from now on, Acrobat gets that functionality in a new update.
Adobe has updated its Acrobat AI assistant, allowing it to understand and compare contracts. Previously, it could summarize PDF documents and generate images.
Comparing and reviewing
According to Adobe, the updated Acrobat AI assistant can help you understand complex terms so you know what you are signing. It can even recognize a contract even if it is a scanned page. In addition, according to Adobe, it can summarize the content of the contract, recommend questions based on the content, and compare up to 10 contracts. If everything is in order, you can sign the document directly in the Acrobat application.
Adobe provides some scenarios in which it can be useful: when comparing rental contracts or mobile provider prices, as well as to compare benefits of competing services. If you regularly need to review contracts for your work or business, the AI assistant can also help with this.
Of course, you have to trust that at least the AI works correctly, and it notices all the important information. If it turns out to work well, it could become one of Acrobat AI’s most useful features. The feature costs five euros a month on top of your Standard or Pro subscription, and is incorporated into the Acrobat AI Assistant. For now, it is available only in English; other languages will follow in the future.
