Zoom adds new AI features to Zoom Spaces, focused on proactive support for workplace reservations and meetings.
Zoom announces a range of new AI features for Zoom Spaces, the platform for managing and using hybrid workplaces. The additions revolve around ‘agentic AI’: AI that proactively makes suggestions and can initiate certain actions to reduce friction in the office, such as conflicts with reservations or cumbersome operation in meeting rooms.
Zoom Spaces should give IT teams central insight into workplace infrastructure, while employees can book spaces and desks and participate in hybrid collaboration via a single interface.
AI support for planning and meetings
One of the announced expansions is proactive support in Workspace Reservation. The AI Companion can suggest an alternative meeting room when overlapping bookings or unused spaces are detected. Zoom aims to limit the loss of time spent searching for available spaces.

In addition, Zoom is working on more extensive voice commands for Zoom Rooms. Users would be able to ask the AI Companion to open a Zoom Whiteboard or take notes during a meeting. Zoom links this to ‘smart name tags’, where names are automatically linked to those present in the room. This should improve the accuracy of subtitles, transcripts and summaries. According to Zoom, these features are expected by the end of February 2026.
Integrations and functions for specific environments
Zoom is also expanding the ecosystem around meeting rooms. With Zoom for Cisco Rooms, organizations can run Zoom on Cisco hardware, with the aim of a uniform user experience across different spaces. Furthermore, Vizrt is joining Zoom’s ISV Exchange program, making Vizrt production tools for virtual presentations and hybrid events available via Zoom.

Finally, Zoom introduces Enhanced Media, an add-on with support for 60fps video and higher bitrates, aimed at sectors where image and sound are critical, such as broadcast and gaming. The mobile Workspace Reservation app will also receive an update with AI recommendations and simplified reservations, also planned for the end of February 2026.
