European TestDevLab acquired by US-based Xoriant to further international ambitions

The Latvian software testing company TestDevLab is joining the American technology company Xoriant. The acquisition should help DevTestLab reach more interesting clients.

TestDevLab, which specializes in software quality and testing services, becomes part of Xoriant, an IT services company headquartered in the US with 28 offices worldwide. The company retains its name, brand and leadership team. Founders Andrejs Frišfelds and Ervins Grīnfelds remain active as co-CEOs. Existing teams and client relationships are also preserved.

Larger network and new markets

Joining Xoriant should give the company access to a larger sales network and new markets, with possible additional hires as a result. The acquisition is therefore a positive story, although it is notable that the young, successful Latvian and thus European company is coming into American hands. ITdaily visited TestDevLab this summer to take a close look at that European success story.

With the acquisition, Xoriant hopes to strengthen its quality and testing services, particularly in the area of AI models. The company focuses on model validation, bias testing, explainability and safety evaluations of systems. TestDevLab brings expertise in automated testing, performance and accessibility testing, audio and video quality analysis and AI testing solutions to the collaboration.

International testing

TestDevLab was founded in 2011 in Riga and has approximately 500 employees spread across Europe, mainly in the Baltic states and North Macedonia. The company tests software applications that are used daily by more than five billion people. Clients include both startups and multinationals. Zoom is probably the best-known client.

Xoriant is a US-headquartered technology company that supports digital product development, data engineering, UX design and new business models. The company is part of investment group ChrysCapital.
