Tellent introduces AI agents for HR decision-making

Tellent is launching a closed beta of its AI agents, where the HR Assistant gains contextual awareness and two specialized agents provide support. The Hiring Agent and Analytics Agent assist recruitment teams and HR leaders in making data-driven decisions, without sidelining humans.

The pressure on HR to deploy artificial intelligence continues to grow. Yet, a large part of the sector still struggles with inconsistency in personnel decisions. Tellent, active in more than seven thousand organizations across Europe, is introducing two new AI agents within its HR decision-making platform in response. This step marks the transition from an assistant to a full-fledged agent, without removing human decision-making authority.

The new functionality includes one HR Assistant present throughout the platform that manages two specific agents: the Hiring Agent and the Analytics Agent. The Hiring Agent provides contextual support during the entire recruitment process, from job vacancy to decision, while the Analytics Agent provides immediate answers to questions about recruitment data. Both agents are linked to live product data via Tellent’s internal MCP layer, allowing them to provide explainable and consistent recommendations.

Contextual awareness and specialized agents

The HR Assistant now gains contextual awareness: it knows what a user is looking at in that moment and can immediately answer relevant questions. The Hiring Agent identifies risks and reduces friction at every stage of the recruitment process, while the Analytics Agent accelerates reporting and analysis. Both agents operate within the frameworks of the European AI Act and GDPR, ensuring every recommendation remains explainable and defensible.

According to Moritz Kothe, CEO of Tellent, the focus is not on speed but on the quality of decisions. Helder Martins, Chief Product & Technology Officer, emphasizes that the line between assistant and agent is drawn intentionally: the agents identify and advise, but do not act without human guidance. Human control will remain important even with further expansions, the company assures.
