Adjusting multi-monitor settings will soon become very easy in Windows thanks to a new PowerToys feature.
Adjusting display settings for external screens can be quite a hassle in Windows, especially if you have multiple connected. Microsoft is finally changing that. It is adding a new ‘PowerDisplay’ feature to one of the most underrated Windows tools: PowerToys.
Display settings in one place
In PowerDisplay, the most convenient display settings for all currently connected monitors are neatly bundled. Via the PowerToys shortcut, you will even be able to call them up from the taskbar with a single click. Brightness, contrast, and volume can be controlled from a single screen with a simple slider.

PowerToys developer Niels Laute demonstrates the new PowerDisplay feature via social media, which means it should essentially be ready for rollout. This will likely happen with the next PowerToys release 0.98 in January. Working with multiple screens will then become much easier in Windows 11.
The PowerToys app offers a collection of useful Windows features. In the summer, Microsoft added the option to create ‘workspaces’ in PowerToys. This allows you to set up a window arrangement with specific apps on specific screens. After restarting your computer, you can reopen your most used apps with a single click.
