Microsoft Paint, Photos, and Snipping Tool get new features in Windows 11

Microsoft adds new tools to its popular editing apps Paint, Photos, and Snipping Tool in Windows 11.

Windows 11 receives new editing and creativity features in the Photos app, Paint, and Snipping Tool. These tools utilize AI to enhance the user experience, with options for dynamic lighting, digital stickers, and automatic screen captures.

Paint and Snipping tool

The Paint app introduces the sticker generator, allowing users to create digital stickers with a short text prompt. The object selection feature in Paint also makes editing specific elements in an image easier.

In the Snipping Tool, a new feature for automatic cropping of screenshots has been added, allowing captures to be more tightly framed without manual cropping edits. Additionally, users can extract text from images and capture color values, further expanding editing capabilities.
