Microsoft has made the new calendar in Teams generally available to commercial customers. The update integrates the Outlook calendar into Teams and adds features such as delegated access, support for multiple time zones and integrations with Copilot and Places.
Uniform calendar experience
The new calendar provides a unified experience between Outlook and Teams. This means users get the same modern interface and features in both applications. The update brings several Outlook features to Teams, including proxy access, printing capabilities, advanced filtering options and attachment support.

In addition, the new calendar offers time management enhancements. Copilot capabilities such as managed booking help with more efficient scheduling. Places functionalities, including workplace presence and an interactive Places map, are also integrated. Teams Premium users get additional features such as quick booking and a workspace search function.
Expanded views
The update introduces new calendar views, including a monthly view and a split view for multiple calendars. Users can set time scales and save favorite views. The calendar now also shows the weather at the current location.

In addition, the update offers more customization options. Users can set appointment start and end times, adjust location settings and share calendars within the organization. Also, the calendar can be opened as a separate window, making multitasking easier.

The new calendar is available through the Teams desktop client and can be easily activated via a switch in the upper-right corner of the calendar view. Users can switch back to the classic version if they wish.
