Microsoft discontinues the separate sale of Copilot Pro and integrates the assistant into Microsoft 365 Premium.
Microsoft has announced Microsoft 365 Premium, a new consumer subscription that bundles the Family plan with Copilot Pro.
One Package for Office and AI
While Copilot Pro was previously only available to business users, it is now combined with Microsoft 365 and rolled out more broadly. The standalone Copilot Pro subscription will disappear, making Premium the standard package for consumers who want to leverage AI.
In Microsoft 365 Premium, subscribers gain access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook, each equipped with Copilot Chat, plus 1 TB of cloud storage. On the AI side, the package includes more extensive GPT-5 limits, 40 image generations per month, and access to specialized AI agents such as Actions, Researcher, and Analyst.

Also for Business Use
In a blog post, Microsoft writes: “Microsoft 365 Copilot offers the best-in-class Copilot experience for organizations. It combines secure AI chat and agents with the latest models from OpenAI and Anthropic. These are based on your work data: meetings, emails, chats, documents, and more.” Microsoft also emphasizes that 365 Premium is not only suitable for home use but also functions at work with Enterprise Data Protection.
For Existing Subscribers
Users who switch from a Personal or Family subscription will have the remaining days of their current subscription transferred to 365 Premium. Those who keep their existing subscription will still receive several upgrades: 40 image generations in Office apps, unlimited Copilot Voice, and access to features such as Podcasts, Vision, and Deep Research in Copilot. For 22 euros per month or 219 euros per year, users gain access.
