The Falco e-invoicing app from Horus Software is now available as a standalone application. Horus Software aims to help entrepreneurs prepare for the upcoming deadline.
Horus Software now offers the invoice app Falco as a standalone application for all entrepreneurs in Belgium, separate from its accounting platform Horus Office. The application costs 3.5 euros per month. This step is intended to help freelancers and SMEs switch to mandatory e-invoicing by 2026.
Preparation for E-Invoicing Obligation
By decoupling, Horus Software aims to respond to the expected growth in digital invoicing. From January 2026, e-invoicing via the Peppol network will be mandatory for more than a million VAT-liable companies. Those who are not compliant risk fines of up to five thousand euros. For many Belgian entrepreneurs, the approaching deadline is causing headaches and sleepless nights.

With Falco, users can send and receive digital invoices via the Peppol network. The app automatically processes invoices and provides entrepreneurs with an overview of their financial situation. Those who wish can switch to a more comprehensive version of Falco that remains linked to the accounting platform Horus Office. This includes additional features such as financial dashboards and cash position visibility.
Broader Accessibility
According to Horus Software, currently about half of the 85,000 companies on the platform use Falco. Since two-thirds of Belgian SMEs have not yet started with e-invoicing, the company wants to lower the threshold. The decoupled version of Falco will soon receive additional features, including document scanning and uploading, and linking bank accounts for automatic transaction matching.
Horus Software offers the app starting at 3.5 euros per month. Additionally, there will be an API for companies that use their own ERP system. This allows them to send invoices directly via Peppol, without the Falco interface. With this expansion, Horus Software aims to increase the number of companies using e-invoicing by the deadline at the beginning of 2026.
