Google is adding three new modes to the memory saving feature in Chrome.
Google Chrome is making improvements to its performance features. From now on, users will automatically be notified in Chrome when a performance problem is detected. The feature will then resolve them. In addition, the memory saving feature will get three different modes, including “medium,” “balanced,” and “maximum. This will give users more control over the impact of the saving mode.
New performance functions
Chrome is rolling out a new performance feature that should improve the browser’s user experience. One such feature is “Performance Detection. This tool proactively identifies potential performance issues and then offers solutions to them. A notification automatically appears with an alert, requiring users to merely click the ‘Fix Now’ button to improve the browser experience. This feature can be disabled via Settings if you prefer to change performance manually.

In addition, the already existing Memory Saving feature, which frees up memory from inactive tabs, gets three different modes. These are Average, Balanced and Maximum. The ‘Average’ option deactivates tabs based on your PC’s needs. The ‘Balanced’ mode takes into account your surfing behavior as well as the needs of your system. Finally, ‘Maximum’ mode deactivates tabs faster than the other modes, after you no longer use them. These modes can be found in Settings in Chrome under Performance.

Personalize
Google Chrome also offers the ability to personalize your performance controls. For example, users can specify websites that should always remain active because they perform important background work, for example. There is also the option to enable and disable visual indicators for inactive tabs and memory usage in the tab hovercards.
