AWS expands SageMaker with analytics and AI tools

Amazon is releasing a completely revamped version of SageMaker.

At the re:Invent conference in Las Vegas, Amazon announced the new generation of SageMaker.

Three new innovations

Developers can easily build, train and set up machine learning models with SageMaker. Data analytics and AI tools are added on the new platform. Key innovations include SageMaker UniFi Studio, Zero ETL and Lakehouse.

In UniFi Studio, users can access data from different sources, such as SE data lakes, Redshift and SaaS applications. That environment makes collaboration easier through shared projects and integrated security.

According to Amazon, there is no more need for complex data transformation thanks to Zero ETL. Data from applications such as Salesforce and SAP should be instantly accessible without the need for pipelines.

Finally, there is Lakehouse functionality, which provides users with a common interface to analyze and use data from different locations. Lakehouse can also be used with external AI or analytics tools.
