Adobe makes the new Photoshop and Premiere Elements 2026 available, but limits the license to three years.

Adobe launches Photoshop and Premiere Elements 2026. These new versions focus on generative AI features and add support for 360-degree and VR video editing. The editing apps can be purchased individually or as a discounted bundle. Notably, for the first time Adobe is limiting the license to three years.

Photoshop Elements 2026

Photoshop Elements 2026 includes several AI-powered features designed to simplify photo editing. With “Generate Image,” users can create new images by simply typing a description. The “Insert Object” feature lets users add extra elements to existing photos based on text. With “Restore Photo,” users can automatically enhance older photos. Removing unwanted people in the background is also faster thanks to an improved Remove tool.

In addition, the new version integrates with Adobe Express, providing access to templates for social media, cards, and photo books. The software also includes practical improvements such as visual tooltips, a QR scanner to import photos from a smartphone, and faster access to cloud storage services like Google Drive and OneDrive.

Premiere Elements 2026

Premiere Elements 2026 adds support for 360-degree and VR video. Users can import their VR footage, edit it, apply effects, and export in various formats, including for VR headsets. Adobe also offers direct access to media files from Adobe Stock, including video, audio, and images.

The update also includes new features such as “Freehand Crop,” which makes it easy to crop video footage, and new motion title templates with animated text and graphic elements. Ease of use and learnability are key focus areas here as well. There are visual tooltips, improved stabilization, and faster import options via the cloud.

Three-year License

What stands out about the new Photoshop and Premiere Elements is that the license is limited to three years. “The license will not be extended and expires three years after redemption. When your three-year license expires, Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements will no longer be accessible,” according to Adobe’s website.

Photoshop and Premiere Elements can be purchased as a bundle or separately. The bundle costs $149; individually, they cost $99.99.
