Adobe introduces the Photoshop Mobile app for Android. Currently, the app is available for free in beta.
After launching on iOS, Adobe now introduces the Photoshop Mobile app in beta for Android. This allows users to use the classic Photoshop tools on their phone, as well as some generative AI functions. The app is available for free from today in the Google Play Store and offers a range of image editing functions for mobile users.
Generative AI and Classic Tools
Following the earlier launch on iOS in February, Photoshop Mobile is now coming to Android. The app targets mobile creatives who want to work on the go. Users get access to a combination of classic Photoshop tools and new features that utilize generative AI via Adobe Firefly.

Available features include layers, masks, selection and brush tools, as well as edits such as removing objects or merging images. Thanks to the Generative Fill function, users can add or transform elements using text commands. Tools like the Spot Healing Brush, Object Select, and the Magic Wand are also included.
The app supports the use of various blend modes and adjustment layers. Adobe also provides access to a growing library of free Adobe Stock assets to further enrich designs.
Free During Beta Phase
During the current beta phase, the app is completely free to use. Adobe indicates that additional functionalities will follow in the future, but provides no details about pricing models after the test period.
