Palo Alto Networks announces Prisma Browser for Business, a new secure browser aimed at small businesses.
Small businesses have an average of 36 applications running in the browser. However, standard browsers are not built to counter modern cyberattacks or prevent data leaks via AI. According to Palo Alto Networks, 90 percent of companies will sooner or later fall victim to a security incident via the browser.
With Prisma Browser for Business, the company aims to address this by providing targeted protection and management features. Prisma Browser for Business is available in the United States starting today.
New workplace
“For most small businesses, the browser is the new workplace. It’s where you communicate with customers, manage your accounting, and use AI tools to grow your business. But standard browsers aren’t built to stop modern cyberattacks or prevent data leaks via AI,” said Anupam Upadhyaya, SVP of Product, Palo Alto Networks.
Security and management at the core
Prisma Browser for Business is specifically designed for SMEs and focuses on simple configuration and management of apps and AI tools, allowing teams to work securely regardless of device or location. The browser includes built-in security against AI-driven phishing, ransomware, and fraud attempts. This ensures attacks are blocked before they can cause damage.
Additionally, teams can use AI productively and prevent company information from falling into the wrong hands. The built-in AI controls give business leaders a grip on what happens to company information and prevent sensitive data from ending up in the wrong hands.

This is not the first time Palo Alto Networks has focused on browser security. In September last year, the company launched Prisma SASE 4.0, a platform that stops attacks directly in the browser and uses AI to automatically recognize and secure sensitive data.
