Fortinet’s FortiAnalyzer gets AI-driven automation to better support businesses.
Fortinet introduces a new version of FortiAnalyzer that helps security teams with faster cyber threat detection and automated incident response. The solution combines a unified data lake, threat intelligence from FortiGuard and AI-driven automation to better support midsize organizations. FortiNDR Cloud and Lacework FortiCNAPP also received AI features last year.
AI and automation for more efficient SecOps
The latest FortiAnalyzer release provides an integrated platform for security operations (SecOps) in hybrid environments. Organizations gain central visibility into their network and security logs through a unified data lake. This facilitates compliance reporting and security incident analysis. New dashboards provide insight into threats, vulnerabilities and infected systems.
In addition, the solution includes advanced detection and analytics from FortiGuard Labs. Threat intelligence is automatically integrated into the interface, allowing analysts to identify and mitigate suspicious activity faster. FortiAnalyzer’s AI features flag high-priority alerts and automatically generate reports on the origin and impact of attacks.
The update also introduces automated incident response with new SOC automation content packs. These include preset scripts and log parsers for integrations with external platforms such as Armis and Microsoft 365. This reduces manual interventions and speeds up incident response time.
Integrations with Fortinet Security Fabric and third parties
FortiAnalyzer works seamlessly with other Fortinet solutions such as FortiAuthenticator, FortiSandbox and FortiMail. Thanks to AI-driven correlation of threat intelligence, security teams gain actionable insights to combat attacks. The solution also supports security appliances from other vendors, allowing organizations to continue using their existing infrastructure.
In addition, FortiAnalyzer now includes built-in generative AI assistance via FortiAI. This accelerates analytics and helps security teams investigate and respond to threats more effectively.
Existing FortiAnalyzer users with a FortiGuard subscription have immediate access to the new features. Regular updates to content packs allow organizations to expand their SOC and respond to new cyber threats.
