Cloudflare Launches Zero Trust Tools for Secure AI Implementations

cloudflare

Cloudflare has added new security features to its Zero Trust platform to help companies deploy generative AI safely.

Cloudflare is expanding the capabilities of Cloudflare One, the zero trust security platform that helps companies adopt, build, and implement generative AI models. The new features allow customers to automatically see how generative AI is being used within their organization, and to guide that usage. “The most innovative companies in the world want to deploy AI to move, build, and grow quickly, without compromising on security,” says Matthew Prince, CEO and co-founder of Cloudflare.

Built-in Security

AI is increasingly being applied across different teams within a company. This broad application often comes with security and privacy risk “s. For example, employees might accidentally paste sensitive company information into chatbots. To prevent these risk” s, Cloudflare is introducing a new tool that allows companies to better manage and understand AI usage.

AI Security Posture Management

Cloudflare is introducing Cloudflare AI Security Posture Management in its Zero Trust platform. This allows companies to better protect themselves against potential threats caused by the widespread adoption of AI tools.

With the Shadow AI Report, security teams get detailed insights into the use of AI tools, allowing them to block unauthorized applications. Cloudflare Gateway ensures that security measures are automatically enforced, regardless of where employees are working.

Additionally, AI Prompt Protection provides protection against risky interactions between employees and AI models, preventing the input of sensitive data into unsafe AI tools. The MCP Server Control provides better control over AI tools’ communication with external servers, which is essential for ensuring data security.
