Bitwarden launches Access Intelligence to help enterprises detect weak passwords and block phishing attacks in real-time.

Bitwarden has launched Access Intelligence. This is a solution that helps enterprises identify vulnerable login credentials and block phishing attempts in real-time.

Access Intelligence consists of two components: Risk Insights and Advanced Phishing Blocker. Risk Insights provides IT teams with insight into weak, reused, or exposed passwords within key business applications. Using this overview, administrators can prioritize risks, automatically alert users, and initiate recovery actions. The system guides end-users step-by-step through updating their passwords.

Phishing Protection

In addition to password management, Access Intelligence also offers protection against phishing attacks. The Advanced Phishing Blocker recognizes malicious websites based on an open-source blocklist and prevents users from entering their data on such sites. Visitors are automatically warned and redirected when they try to open a risky page.

According to Bitwarden, this protection is important. The company states that phishing attacks are increasingly using AI to create convincing and difficult-to-recognize false messages. The protection is built directly into the existing Bitwarden extension, so users don’t have to take any additional actions.

Access Intelligence aims to actively involve end-users in their own digital security by warning them in a timely manner and enabling easy recovery. This should lead to organizations being able to respond more quickly to risks and avoid unnecessary notifications.

Earlier this week, Bitwarden launched its own authenticator app for MFA, and is pushing for passwordless login for better security.
