Axis is adding two new solutions to the AXIS Camera Station: ACS for on-camera processing and a cloud-based storage service.
Axis Communications is expanding its AXIS Camera Station (ACS) with two cloud-based solutions: AXIS Camera Station Edge (ACS Edge) and AXIS Camera Station Cloud Storage. Both products are intended to simplify network video management and offer companies a more flexible way to store and process video recordings.
Local processing
ACS Edge is designed to process video directly on camera, eliminating the need for remote servers and additional on-site equipment. This design allows for faster video data processing and reduces the need for complex infrastructure. For users, this results in lower operational costs.
The solution requires only an Axis camera with SD card or an Axis S30 Recorder Series for installation, minimizing implementation time. The system thus provides a cam-to-cloud solution that allows businesses to quickly access video footage, and simplifies management by integrating Axis Edge devices with cloud services.
Long-term storage
In addition to ACS Edge, Axis also offers Cloud Storage. This cloud service allows companies to store video footage for extended periods through a subscription license. The storage is fully managed and secure, reducing the risk of losing video data due to hardware failure or damage to physical equipment.
The service includes a 30-day storage period for 720p video, which lends itself well to multi-site businesses that need easy and reliable access to their data.-
