HMD Global is introducing two new affordable Nokia phones. The Nokia C21 Plus and Nokia C2 2E are both entry-level phones.
HMD Global, owner of the Nokia smartphone brand name, is launching two new devices. The Nokia C21 Plus and the Nokia C2 2E are both exceptionally competitively priced entry-level phones. The C21 Plus will be available from May for 119 euros, while the C2 2E is even cheaper with a price tag of 99 euros.
The Nokia C21 Plus is a 6.5-inch phone with an “HD+” display. With that, the resolution is below FHD. You do get a dual camera with a 13 MP sensor each. HMD Global speaks of “stunning details,” but we would take that with a keg of salt given the price tag. The phone also gets an IP52 rating and a 4000 mAh battery. That’s not that much, but with the modest specs, it will probably be enough for excellent battery life.
The Nokia C2 2E is slightly smaller with a 5.7-inch screen. The manufacturer is not yet sharing many further details about this device. The company points out that the smartphones will come with a pure version of Android.
Services
HMD Global let it be known in the margins of the announcement that its HMD Global Services offering is doing well. The company established a services-focused division and is focusing on three categories: Connect Pro, Enable Pro and Softlock. These consist of IoT connections, EMM licenses and device lock licenses. HMD Global focuses lwith its services on businesses and was already making headway in logistics, healthcare and finance.
