Firefox offers temporary unlimited VPN bandwidth and 28 countries

Firefox Browser

Mozilla is increasing the free VPN bandwidth in Firefox to unlimited until August 31, instead of the usual 50 GB per month. Additionally, users can temporarily connect from 28 country locations, instead of the standard set.

Firefox normally offers 50 GB of free VPN traffic per month to users in supported regions. During the summer promotion, which runs until the end of August, that limit is being removed. In addition, Mozilla is expanding the number of available countries to 28, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and the United States.

Extra protection on public networks

Firefox’s built-in VPN adds an extra layer of privacy by masking the IP address. This makes it harder for others on the same public Wi-Fi network, such as in airports or hotels, to track your browsing behavior. Users can also manually change their location to their home country, ensuring websites and services remain familiar while traveling.

Additionally, it is possible to disable the VPN for specific sites should they not work properly with an active connection. This can be done directly via the VPN panel or in the advanced settings. From September 1, the VPN will return to the standard 50 GB per month and the original set of country locations. Until then, users can browse securely worldwide without limits, with more flexibility and protection.
