Cisco and NTT Data are partnering to give businesses in 180 countries easier access to 5G via eSIM technology and the Transatel network.

Cisco and NTT DATA are joining forces to jointly provide customers with the easiest connectivity possible. At the heart of the collaboration is the integration of Cisco’s eSIM technology with NTT Data’s global Transatel network. The collaboration doesn’t come out of the blue: in early 2023, the two parties already announced their intention to work together around 5G.

With it, companies can easily scale and manage their mobile networks, making connectivity for mobile sites available on-demand. In this way, the two parties hope to simplify the implementation and management of mobile infrastructure.

Examples include securing pop-up locations in retail, backing up POS systems, or quickly setting up mobile networks at remote manufacturing sites.
