Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced Project DIGITS at CES 2025. That is a “personal AI supercomputer” running on the Grace Blackwell Superchip.
Nvidia announced Project DIGITS at CES 2025. The AI supercomputer will fit in the palm of your hand and launch in May. Project DIGITS will give the general public access to very powerful AI performance of up to 1 petaflop. That kind of performance is normally limited to large enterprises.
Impressive powerhouse
The GB10 Superchip is driven by Nvidia’s most powerful Grace Blackwell CPU, providing support for advanced AI projects such as the development of large language models (LLMs). That CPU suffered from a design flaw earlier this year, but it has since been eliminated. With 128 GB of memory and 4 TB of NVMe storage, users can even run LLMs of 200 billion parameters. By linking two DIGITS systems, this can go up to 405 billion parameters.
According to CEO Jensen Huang, Nvidia aims to make advanced AI tools affordable and accessible with Project DIGITS. Project DIGITS targets developers who want to experiment and innovate in AI.
To support developers, Nvidia provides access to an extensive library of software tools and frameworks through the NGC catalog in the Developer Portal. With Project DIGITS, Nvidia is taking an important step in making AI development accessible to the general public.
