Schneider Electric focuses on modular data center solutions that support high-density racks.

Schneider Electric expands its EcoStruxure portfolio with new data center solutions for high-density AI and accelerated compute applications. The solutions combine liquid cooling, power distribution, and rack systems in a prefabricated architecture that can be deployed scalably.

New Rack System Supports AI Clusters up to 1 MW

Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Pod Data Center solution is designed to support high-density racks, up to more than 1 megawatt per pod. The infrastructure integrates liquid cooling, busways, and cooling architectures such as hot aisle containment, InRow cooling, and rear door heat exchangers. The modular setup and use of pre-designed components are intended to enable faster deployment of computing capacity for AI and HPC workloads.

Additionally, new EcoStruxure Rack solutions are being added to the portfolio. These rack systems are tailored for high power densities and comply with standards such as EIA, ORV3, and NVIDIA MGX. They are equipped with liquid cooling via Motivair by Schneider Electric and support various power and cooling configurations.

Within the rack portfolio, three new product lines stand out. The NetShelter SX Advanced Enclosure offers sturdier racks with more space for cables and infrastructure. The NetShelter Rack PDU Advanced focuses on efficient power distribution, with integrated monitoring via a Network Management Card. The NetShelter Open Architecture is based on the Open Compute Project and supports systems such as the Nvidia GB200 NVL72.

Response to Increasing AI Needs

With this expansion, Schneider Electric addresses the increasing power demand of AI workloads. According to the company, rack power requirements are rising to 1 MW or more, putting pressure on traditional data center architectures. The new solutions are designed to simplify the implementation of AI clusters and overcome obstacles such as cooling, power distribution, and logistics.

The infrastructure solutions are complemented by reference designs and supporting services, including monitoring and advisory packages. Schneider Electric emphasizes that the solutions are available worldwide and are compatible with technology from companies including Nvidia.
