Panduit launches RapidID Pro and RapidID Pro+ for automated network mapping and documentation. The new versions add, among other things, on-site label printing and, in the case of Pro+, a central server architecture.
Panduit has added RapidID Pro and RapidID Pro+ to its portfolio for automated network mapping and network documentation. With the expansion, the company is targeting organizations that want to document and manage their network infrastructure as environments grow larger and more complex.
Print labels on location
RapidID Pro builds on the existing RapidID Desktop solution. The software allows administrators to assign unique identifications to devices and other assets. This should improve the structure in the documentation and simplify navigation through the infrastructure.
In addition, RapidID Pro supports on-site label printing. This can be used for cables, equipment and assets, so that identification and registration can take place together during work in the data center or network space.
Troubleshooting and asset management
According to Panduit, RapidID Pro is intended for growing networks with a need for additional troubleshooting and asset management capabilities. By uniquely registering assets, teams can more quickly find out which components are connected where and which changes have been implemented.
Pro+ adds central server
RapidID Pro+ extends the functions with a centralized server architecture. This allows multiple users to work simultaneously in the same system. Panduit states that this can speed up processes and increase consistency in documentation, because teams work with one central source.
Panduit is a supplier of solutions for electrical and network infrastructure and connectivity. The company has its headquarters in Tinley Park in the US state of Illinois and is active in multiple locations worldwide. More information about RapidID can be found on the Panduit website.
