HPE strengthens AI-driven network management with the addition of Juniper’s Mist AI. This accelerates autonomous network operations and simplifies IT management.

Juniper’s Mist AI will play a larger role in HPE’s network portfolio. These updates aim to improve network management through more autonomous and proactive IT activities, focusing on simplifying operations and enhancing the user experience.

Autonomous AI for Network Management

The announced features introduce various new capabilities that further strengthen the role of artificial intelligence in network management. One of the key innovations is the expansion of agentic AI, enabling the platforms to anticipate network problems and proactively solve them.

Marvis AI, HPE’s virtual assistant, is equipped with enhanced conversational capabilities that support real-time problem solving. The platform analyzes telemetry data from networks, from wireless networks to data centers, and performs autonomous actions when issues such as misconfigurations or capacity problems arise.

Through the Marvis dashboard, administrators now have the ability to automatically resolve network issues such as incorrectly configured ports or non-compliant hardware, with complete IT oversight. This reduces the need for manual intervention and accelerates problem resolution.

Data Center Provisioning

HPE further extends AI capabilities to data center operations, with Marvis AI integrating with Apstra’s contextual graph database. This collaboration enables adding intelligence to service provisioning in data centers and provides continuous validation of services and applications. The model also helps predict application performance issues even before users experience them.

After a long and bumpy acquisition process, HPE definitively secured Juniper Networks earlier this year. With Aruba also in its portfolio, HPE is growing into a networking giant. Through the acquisition, HPE aims to position itself as a leader in autonomous networks that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize the user experience.
