Microsoft has announced Windows 365 Link, a compact device that provides direct and secure access to Windows 365.
Windows 365 Link is a small device specifically designed to give employees secure access to their Windows desktop in Azure via Windows 365. According to Microsoft, the little device boots up in seconds and instantly wakes up from hibernation. It also provides local processing for video conferencing through tools such as Microsoft Teams and Webex.
Everything in the cloud
The Windows 365 Link features support for dual 4K monitors, four USB ports, an audio port, an Ethernet port, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. This makes it compatible with a wide range of wired and wireless peripherals. Managing the device is easy via Microsoft Intune. Configuration is quick and easy thanks to the small Windows operating system running on it.
Windows 365 Link does not store local data or apps and does not provide administrator privileges to end users. This protects corporate data that remains within Microsoft Cloud. The device includes default security settings that cannot be disabled. Users log in securely via passwordless authentication, such as Microsoft Entra ID, the Microsoft Authenticator app or USB security keys.
