Westpole Benelux launches a managed Observability-as-a-Service solution that helps companies monitor their hybrid IT infrastructure more efficiently, optimize resource usage, and reduce operational costs.
Westpole Benelux launches a managed Observability-as-a-Service (OaaS) offering. The service provides companies with insight into the performance of their hybrid IT infrastructure, with monitoring for both on-premises and cloud environments. The goal is to detect network and resource issues faster and optimize costs.
The solution includes automated provisioning, hybrid monitoring, and a unified dashboard for reporting. Westpole utilizes AI and machine learning to predict infrastructure requirements and automatically allocate resources. This is intended to minimize downtime and increase efficiency. Additionally, the service includes cost management tools that provide insight into IT resource usage.
Collaboration
The OaaS platform integrates technologies from partners such as IBM and supports infrastructure from VMware, Azure, AWS, and IBM Cloud. The service targets organizations with diverse IT needs, from companies just starting with cloud implementations to enterprises looking to optimize existing hybrid infrastructure.
Westpole Benelux states that companies can save up to 33 percent on server costs with the service and reduce Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) by 52 percent. Additionally, IT staff could reclaim up to 30 percent of the time spent on operational tasks. It’s unclear on what basis the company bases these figures. However, they do demonstrate how Westpole hopes to offer added value with the new solution.
The OaaS offering is fully managed, including proactive monitoring and SLA management, allowing companies to focus on other tasks. Westpole Benelux was acquired in 2023 by the French company Prodware, but has continued to operate as an independent entity since then.
