Dataiku launches Cobuild on Snowflake, an integration that allows joint customers to transform business goals in natural language into visual AI workflows and AI agents. The solution combines Snowflake Cortex AI with Dataiku’s orchestration layer, emphasizing control, transparency, and production deployment.
Dataiku brings Cobuild to Snowflake to make corporate AI development more concrete. Joint customers can have a workflow built within Snowflake based on a plain language description, after which teams can review, adjust, and approve that workflow.
From prompt to workflow
Cobuild on Snowflake converts a business question into a visual Dataiku workflow for data preparation, machine learning, AI agents, and applications. Instead of automatically generated code that is difficult to review, users get a project where every step remains visible.
This is how Dataiku aims to differentiate itself from AI coding assistants. The company wants to offer customers not just speed, but also insight into logic, accuracy, compliance, and costs. Dataiku therefore positions Cobuild as a way to build AI faster and maintain an overview without losing control along the way.
Combination with Cortex AI
Technically, Dataiku links its own build and orchestration layer to Snowflake Cortex AI. Snowflake provides native access to large language models within the Snowflake AI Data Cloud, while Dataiku provides the environment in which different teams can jointly develop and manage a workflow.
The integration targets organizations that want to deploy AI more broadly without ending up in a black box. According to Dataiku, the solution is initially available to customers already building with Dataiku on Snowflake, with broader access for other Snowflake customers later.
The existing integration between the two companies was already broader than just this announcement. It includes visual in-warehouse data preparation, ML training on Snowpark Container Services, batch and real-time ML inference, support for Iceberg catalogs, Cortex Agents, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, Cortex REST API, and Cortex AI Functions.
