Snowflake and Anthropic announce a collaboration worth $200 million spanning multiple years. As part of the collaboration, Anthropic’s Claude models will remain available within Cortex AI. Snowflake’s AI platform already provides customers access to Claude, but the functionality will be expanded.
Collaboration
The focus for the next phase of collaboration is on deploying AI agents that can perform complex tasks in multiple steps. The Claude LLMs will translate questions in English into a reasoning plan, determine what data is needed, and retrieve it (in accordance with policy rules) within the Snowflake environment. Anthropic and Snowflake claim over 90 percent accuracy for text-to-SQL queries.
