Oracle launches the AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications: a platform that allows users to create, expand, integrate, and manage AI agents within their organization.
Oracle introduces the AI Agent Studio. This is a platform that enables Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications customers and partners to create, expand, implement, and manage AI agents within their organization. The tool is available at no additional cost and offers integrated security and testing capabilities.
Customized AI Agents
The AI Agent Studio is part of the Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite and allows companies to build and manage AI agents that can support business processes. Oracle has previously integrated more than 50 AI agents into Fusion Applications. With this new studio, customers and partners gain the flexibility to expand existing AI agents or develop entirely new ones.
The tool offers various functionalities, including templates for agent development and the ability to coordinate teams of agents. Users can use pre-set templates with natural language prompts to create agents for specific business processes, such as processing return orders or scheduling shifts. Additionally, agent team orchestration allows multiple AI agents to work together with employees on complex tasks. Checkpoints and approval steps can be added to maintain control.
Integration and Security
The AI Agent Studio provides access to multiple large language models (LLMs), including Llama and Cohere, and also supports the integration of external LLMs for sector-specific applications. Additionally, you can integrate AI agents with Oracle Fusion Applications via direct API access, without the need for extensive custom configurations.
Oracle emphasizes that security and reliability are an integral part of the platform. AI agents operate within the existing security framework of Fusion Applications, with the latest security settings automatically applied. Validation and testing tools help users check the accuracy and performance of AI agents.
Oracle’s introduction of an AI Studio is not surprising. Almost every major technology company is working on an AI offering, and nearly every offering today includes both AI agents and a studio to adapt such agents to the needs of individual organizations.
Studios Everywhere
Meta already launched an AI Studio to build chatbots in 2023, and Microsoft has had the Microsoft Copilot Studio for a while. Zoom recently launched an AI Studio tailored for agents, and Salesforce went a step further by introducing a marketplace where customers can exchange their agents or components thereof. A user-friendly AI Studio with a low-code component seems to be evolving into an essential component for a comprehensive AI offering, and Oracle is not falling behind.
