Microsoft makes Copilot Voice and Think Deeper available indefinitely
Microsoft is removing restrictions on Copilot Voice and Think Deeper. All Copilot users will now have unlimited access to these AI features.
More freedom for free users
Since last month, OpenAI’s o1 reasoning model has been available for free to all Copilot users. Now Microsoft is taking that line and making unlimited use of Copilot Voice and Think Deeper available to everyone. Previously, there were limits on these features for free users, but those disappear today. This means users can now have longer conversations with the AI assistant.
“We want to make advanced AI features available to as many people as possible as soon as possible,” said the Copilot team. Microsoft does warn of possible delays or interruptions when demand is high, or if abuse or security problems are detected.
What does this mean for paying users?
The change comes two years after the introduction of Copilot in Bing and barely a month after the revamped Copilot Pro subscriptions. Microsoft continues to offer Copilot Pro for $22 per user per month. Paying users retain their benefits, such as priority at peak usage, early access to experimental AI features and additional usage in Microsoft 365 apps such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Microsoft is already hinting at more new AI features for Pro users, but is not giving details about them for now.
