The AI tool for creating videos is now available in Google Workspace.
Today Google announced the general availability of Google Vids, an AI-powered video creation tool woven into the Workspace app.
Wide range of options
Vids uses Google Gemini AI technology to streamline the video creation process. One notable feature is “Help me create” that ignores a storyboard based on a prompt from users and a Google Drive document. Gemini analyzes that content and suggests scenes, stock media, text, scripts and background music to create a video.
Users can further personalize their videos with animations, transitions, effects and stock content. Google Vids also has AI-driven voiceovers with a selection of voices or the option to record a voiceover using an autocue with the Gemini read-along feature.
Most of the features are only available in English for now. Language support will be expanded in the future. The features are fully available until Dec. 31, 2025, after which usage limits will be imposed, Android Authority knows.
Google Vids is now activated by default for certain editions of Google Workspace, including Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise levels, Education Plus, and Gemini add-on customers. The rollout begins today, Nov. 7, and will last several weeks.
