Google Brings “Vibe Coding” to AI Studio

Google has announced that it is bringing the vibe coding experience to its AI Studio platform.

Google is increasingly focusing on AI functionalities and is therefore introducing vibe coding into its AI Studio platform. Vibe coding is the latest buzzword among developers. Through prompts, AI coding assistants can help developers generate simple applications. According to Google, this should lead to faster and more efficient app development.

From Prompt to Working App

AI Studio will become the gateway to Google’s broader AI ecosystem. The platform focuses on rapid development and implementation, without the technical barrier of the heavier Vertex AI, which is primarily designed for data scientists. Google is also adding an application gallery, model selector, and support for “secret variables” to securely store API keys.

Logan Kilpatrick, head of Google AI Studio, unveiled the new features on his X account. For example, AI Studio gains “modular superpowers,” allowing users to add features like reasoning or media processing via the Gemini model with a single click. An “I’m Feeling Lucky” button offers random prompts to stimulate creativity. Once the app is ready, it goes live with a click via Google Cloud Run, complete with a working test URL.

Gemini 3.0 in the Pipeline?

The update also seems to be a stepping stone towards Gemini 3.0 and a response to recently improved coding assistants from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Salesforce. According to SiliconANGLE, two new models recently appeared on a test platform. These are reportedly early versions of Gemini 3.0 Pro and Flash, featuring remarkably strong visual reasoning capabilities.
