Google acquires security specialist Siemplify for $500 million

Google Cloud Vertex AI

Siemplify is a start-up based in Israel and specializes in end-to-end security services for enterprises, more specifically security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) services.

Google is acquiring Siemplify for $500 million and integrating it within Google Cloud Platform, specifically the Chronicle branch. The latter was built as a platform for cybersecurity telemetry. This allows you to track the movement of data across devices and networks to catch hints before a rogue attack is launched. Such platforms are also called SOAR services, often combined with a user-friendly interface.

Siemplify

According to Google, Siemplify’s platform is an intuitive workbench that allows security teams to better manage risk and reduces costs to address hazards. Siemplify offers security operations center (SOC) analysts an end-to-end solution to respond to threats quickly and precisely, with every interaction making the system smarter. The technology helps improve SOC performance by reducing caseloads. This frees up analyst time for greater visibility across all workflows.
