VanRoey has acquired The Collective, a Belgian specialist in Microsoft-based security and managed services. The deal strengthens the offering around SOC services, IT/OT security and Azure, and gives VanRoey a location in East Flanders.
VanRoey has acquired The Collective, a cybersecurity company from Zele. The Collective focuses on security within the Microsoft environment, with services around identity, endpoints and cloud. The company also provides Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and endpoint management, supported by a Belgian Security Operations Center (SOC). For The Collective, the transaction means that it can further roll out its services within a larger organization.
With the acquisition, VanRoey is expanding its geographical presence to East Flanders. Earlier this month, the company also took a step towards West Flanders via the acquisition of Sonical.
SOC, IT/OT and Microsoft services
VanRoey wants to further expand its cybersecurity activities with the acquisition. The company started its own SOC in October 2025 to permanently monitor customer environments. The additional expertise of The Collective should strengthen that SOC operation and the broader security services, including where IT and operational technology (OT) come together. In addition, VanRoey also mentions an expansion of Azure-related services within the Microsoft stack.

The Collective is a Microsoft Solutions Partner and profiles itself on security, cloud and endpoint management. The managed services include Managed Endpoint Management, Azure Cloud and security services based on Microsoft technology.
Impact for customers
According to VanRoey, customers retain freedom of choice in technology. Organizations can standardize on Microsoft, but also continue to use other security partners and combinations of technologies. Customers of The Collective, in turn, gain access to a wider portfolio of managed services and IT infrastructure solutions within VanRoey.
“With The Collective, we are not only bringing in extra specialized managed security expertise on the Microsoft stack. We can now serve the enterprise market even better in addition to SMEs, and strengthen our presence in East Flanders,” says Joachim Lauwers, CEO of VanRoey.
