IT group NRB announces the purchase of a data center in Muizen.
The Liège-based IT service provider NRB adds a third data center campus to its Belgian infrastructure, in addition to Herstal and Villers-le-Bouillet. The new location in Muizen is NRB’s first data center in Flanders. The data center will focus on sovereignty and is interconnected via secure and redundant connections with the two other data centers.
Third Belgian data center
NRB now has three data center campuses in Belgium. The new addition in Muizen is strategically located between Brussels and Mechelen and aims to better serve customers in the capital and the north of the country. NRB has purchased its own, secured space within the existing data center.
The data center has a Tier 3+ certification and complies with multiple ISO standards (9001, 14001, 20000, and 27001). According to NRB, the availability rate is 99.995 percent. With this expansion, the company offers additional hosting capacity on Belgian soil, in line with the increasing demand for data sovereign solutions.
Sovereignty
The three data centers of NRB – Herstal, Villers-le-Bouillet, and now also Muizen – are interconnected via secure and redundant connections. According to the company, this offers customers the possibility to host sensitive data within Belgian borders, with guarantees in terms of legislation, security, and availability.
