Dokapi acquires PeppolEDGE, along with founders Mathieu Pasture and Laurence Guiot. With this acquisition, Dokapi strengthens its Peppol expertise and expands into France and Germany.

The Mechelen-based company Dokapi announces the acquisition of the Walloon brand PeppolEDGE. Dokapi is a Belgian e-invoicing platform that helps companies process and exchange invoices, purchase orders, payslips, and tax returns via accountants, social secretariats, and software platforms. With the acquisition of PeppolEDGE, the company aims to further strengthen its expertise in Peppol.

“With this acquisition, we underline our ambition for Dokapi to become the most reliable, accessible, and efficient European platform for digital financial document processing and e-invoicing,” says Roel Verbeeck, CEO and founder of Ixor and Dokapi.

Peppol expertise

PeppolEDGE, founded by Mathieu Pasture and Laurence Guiot, helps companies with data exchange via SaaS and has been working with the Belgian government on the implementation of Peppol since 2013. Pasture also actively participates in the development of Peppol standards within OpenPeppol.

Mathieu Pasture, CTO of PeppolEDGE: “Peppol is evolving rapidly and is positioning itself as a critical digital infrastructure at a European level. By joining forces with Dokapi, we combine deep expertise with a high capacity for innovation in the field of AI and a strong international network.”

Dokapi is itself a certified Peppol Access Point. Currently, 11.5% of Belgian companies connected to Peppol use Dokapi technology for e-invoicing. Customers include Doccle, Acerta, Securex, Isabel Group, Belfius, and the Vlaams Energiebedrijf.

France and Germany

The international expansion initially focuses on France, where Laurence Guiot will develop the platform’s market presence. At the same time, Dokapi has recruited its first employee based in Berlin for the German market. Over the next six months, CEO Roel Verbeeck and Guiot will work closely together to prepare Dokapi for international expansion.
