Datashift crosses Belgian borders with the opening of a fourth office in Rotterdam. This is just the first move in a planned international expansion.
Belgian data consultancy Datashift, currently active in Leuven, Mechelen and Ghent, is expanding its presence to the Netherlands with a new office in Rotterdam.
A newly assembled local team will now support Dutch companies with their data-related questions. The opening fits within the company’s international growth strategy. By 2030, Datashift aims for revenue of more than 50 million euros, part of which must be realized outside Belgium.
Acquisitions and investments
In addition to organic growth, the company is also looking at acquisitions. At least two acquisitions are planned, with specific interest in Scandinavia. According to CEO Nico Huybrechts, Datashift is looking for acquisition candidates that align with existing services, but can also continue to operate partly independently under their own name.
Datashift was founded in 2015 and has since grown by an average of 45% annually. For 2025, the company expects revenue of 25 million euros. The team currently has more than 175 employees, spread across four locations. This number should increase to 225 in the short term. In 2024, the company brought on a private equity partner for the first time. Part of that capital is now also being made available to its own employees.
With this expansion to the Netherlands and planned acquisitions on the horizon, Datashift wants to grow beyond Belgian borders and position itself as a data expert in Western and Northern Europe.
