Anthropic introduces a new $200 per month subscription. The Max subscription is available in two formulas.
Anthropic launches a new, expensive subscription for its AI chatbot Claude, called Max. This subscription would cost $200 per month. Max is intended for users who frequently to daily use Claude for multiple tasks. That’s understandable, as the subscription comes down to a hefty $200 per month. There is a choice between two variants, ‘extended use’ for $100 per month and ‘maximum flexibility’ at $200 per month.
Two Flavors
The Max subscription offers two different levels: ‘extended use’ and ‘maximum flexibility’. Within the ‘extended use’ option, you get five times higher rate limits compared to Claude Pro, and you pay about $100 per month. According to Anthropic, this formula is suitable for frequent users who work on various tasks with Claude.

Additionally, there is the ‘maximum flexibility’ option, with 20 times more usage than Pro. This is twice as expensive, $200 per month, and is intended for daily users who use Claude for most tasks.
Even More Expensive?
This new subscription is a notable outlier in terms of pricing within Anthropic’s offering. It might not even be the last expensive subscription. Scott White, Anthropic’s product leader, stated in an interview with TechCrunch that the company doesn’t rule out launching even more expensive subscriptions in the future.
The Max subscription is now available in all regions where Claude is offered.
