[Advertorial] You have economical and lightweight MSI Cubi boxes, tailored to very light workloads, as well as small and compact productivity computers and everything in between. There is an MSI Cubi for every profile.
MSI Cubi NUC computers are very small mini-PCs. The boxes hold less than one liter, but that’s enough to house a wide variety of hardware. MSI makes the computers at one end of the spectrum for very light workloads, such as digital signage, but just as easily manufactures them with solid specs for those looking for a powerful but unobtrusive computer. Thus, there is an MSI Cubi NUC for everyone.
The devices are also environmentally friendly. MSI manufactures them from 42.9 percent PCR plastic and ships them in sustainable packaging. If you plan to work primarily on an external screen, you’ll additionally save on a laptop battery, keyboard, touchpad and display that you’re not going to use anyway.
MSI Cubis come in two main flavors. The MSI Cubi N series is light and economical. It is especially relevant for light workloads. The MSI Cubi 5 series is more powerful, and can be compared to a solid laptop in terms of performance. Both families are widely configurable, so there is a Cubi tailored to just about any workload.
The unmanned screen
MSI Cubi NUC systems are available with economical and lightweight processors. You can configure them with chips up to the N100 series. The processors excel in their efficiency, not their sheer power.
That economy becomes interesting when you combine it with the connectivity options. HDMI or DisplayPort make it easy to connect a screen, and VESA compatibility even allows you to attach the mini-PC to the screen.

Combine those capabilities with Wi-Fi or a reliable Ethernet connection, and you have an ideal unobtrusive computer to control information screens in your enterprise. NUCs are unobtrusive, powerful enough for the task, and efficient enough to be left on almost permanently.
The MSI Cubi N ADL is a fine example of a minicomputer that embraces efficiency over performance.
The virtualized environment
The lightweight MSI Cubi NUCs are not only suitable for unmanned use. In offices of large enterprises or in schools, they can serve perfectly as thin clients. The lightweight PCs control the screen, connect to peripherals such as mouse and keyboard, and then connect to a virtualized desktop environment (VDI).

In such an environment, management is very important. Therefore, MSI ensures that the Cubi NUCs are both easy to manage and secure, even remotely.
The office worker
Lightweight mini-PCs are ideal as a conduit to a VDI environment, or to drive info screens. That’s not to say that a mini-PC is necessarily a lightweight. There are quite a few models that have more than enough horsepower to support office work. This can be done at home, as well as in the physical office.
MSI configures the Cubi NUCs with all kinds of processors, most of which you know from laptops. For example, the Cubi 5 1M series is available with Intel Core 3, Core 5 and Core 7, and you can install up to 64 GB of RAM.

The Intel Core 7 150U has ten computing cores (two of which are P cores) and can handle clock speeds over 5 GHz. With those specifications, a mini-desktop is as powerful or more powerful than an average office laptop.
So why choose a mini-PC? You won’t take that device back and forth to home or work, but that’s not always necessary. You can conveniently tuck the little tray away or mount it on the back of your screen, making your desk look a lot neater. Can’t hide it away? Not a disaster either, as the Cubis have been awarded a Reddot trophy for their sleek design. This is a plus for home workers, but also for those who work in a visible place in the office such as at a reception desk.

The enthusiast
Mini desktops like the MSI Cubi N and Cubi NUC 1M are ideal for those who want to provide their home (office) with a simple server. Alone or combined with NAS storage, you can use them as a brain for a multimedia project, for example, or a file server. You can also use the Cubis as a central hub for security camaras. MSI helps you specifically with that purpose through the MSI Cloud Center application, which lets you connect to your small server wirelessly and from anywhere.
Flexibility for all
Whatever profile you fall under, MSI makes sure the hardware of the Cubi you choose will support you. For example, you’ll already find several classic USB ports on the front of the MSI Cubi 5 1M, and USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 ports lurking behind, along with HDMI and even two 2.5G RJ45 ports.
Don’t need the mobility of a laptop, or the extreme power of a specialized workstation desktop? Then there is a mini-PC tailored to your needs.
