Sony’s Xperia 10 VII introduces a new shutter button for quick photos, improved cameras, and a battery that lasts up to two days.
Sony introduces a new model in its Xperia 10 mid-range series, the Xperia 10 VII. This new model is the successor to the Xperia 10 VI, but comes in a completely new design. According to the brand, the phone has a lightweight and new design compared to its predecessors. The Xperia 10 VII is equipped with a dedicated shutter button for quick photography, a battery that lasts up to two days, and is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Mobile processor.
The Xperia 10 VII is priced at 449 euros including VAT, and is available in turquoise, white, and black colors.
In a New Design
The Xperia 10 VII features a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. For audio, there are front-facing stereo speakers and support for both 3.5mm wired and wireless headphones. DSEE Ultimate and 360 Reality Audio provide AI-optimized sound quality.
The device runs on a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset and has 8 GB of RAM. According to Sony, the battery lasts up to two days. The manufacturer also claims that the battery capacity remains largely preserved after four years of use, thanks to proprietary optimization technology.

Circle to Search and integration with Google’s Gemini offer additional AI functionalities such as searching via a circled selection and assistance with planning or writing emails.
The Xperia 10 VII weighs 168 grams, is IP65/68 certified for water and dust resistance, and has a screen with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for extra drop protection.
New Camera Button
With the Xperia 10 VII, Sony introduces a shutter button that allows users to take photos instantly, even when the screen is off. The button can also capture screenshots with a single click. The device features two rear cameras, a 50-megapixel primary and a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens. Unlike previous models, the cameras on the Xperia 10 VII are positioned horizontally. On the front, there’s an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
The camera uses AI scene recognition that automatically adjusts settings to the situation. Users can also apply color filters to photos and videos. In Google Photos, edits are possible with features like Magic Editor, Magic Eraser and Photo Unblur. These features use generative AI to move or edit elements in photos.
