Samsung announces the Color E-Paper display with low power consumption. The display will soon be available in several sizes.
Samsung is launching at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025 its new Color E-Paper displays, which promise lower power consumption compared to traditional displays. The Color E-Paper display is available in different sizes: 13-inch, 25-inch, 32-inch QHD and a 75-inch 5K outdoor variant.
Energy efficient
“It is essential for commercial displays to meet the demand for energy efficiency and easy device management. At the same time, we also need to give the larger audience what they want – impressive experiences,” said Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics.
Samsung therefore developed its latest generation of commercial displays, including Samsung Color E-Paper. This is a digital color display based on e-paper technology. The Samsung Color E-Paper uses digital ink technology and is said to consume 0.00 W when a still image is displayed. During the transition to another image, power consumption is significantly lower than traditional digital signage. This can lead to cost savings on energy consumption.
The screen is available in different sizes: 13-inch (1,600 x 1,200), 25-inch (3,200 x 1,800), 32-inch QHD (2,560 x 1,440) and an outdoor version of 75-inch 5K (5,120 x 2,880). The lightweight and thin design makes installation easy. The display also features a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery, two USB-C ports, 8 GB of storage and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support. The 32-inch version is expected in May, with other sizes to follow later.
VXT platform
For remote management, Samsung offers a mobile app that allows users to control displays, set a wake-up schedule and schedule content. In addition, Samsung VXT (Visual eXperience Transformation) makes content management easier. This platform optimizes content visibility and offers a preview function to check colors and display in advance.
