IT professionals value CPU and RAM for PCs the most, followed by screen and battery. They are less concerned about AI compatibility.
When purchasing a new PC, there are many factors that can determine the choice. For one user, there can never be enough computing power in a device, while another may be satisfied with a light device with a decent screen. Every PC user has their own needs, so ITdaily asked IT professionals which specification is most decisive for them. 107 respondents participated in the survey.
CPU first
IT professionals have a clear preference for performance. 69 percent find the CPU and the amount of RAM most decisive when choosing a PC. This target group typically uses PCs for applications that require more computing power than average office work. Especially RAM has become a valuable commodity with the current price increases.
After the inner workings, screen quality follows: the most important specification for 15 percent. Whatever you use your PC for, a good screen is never an unnecessary luxury, because this is what you look at all day long. Eight percent attach the most importance to the battery and for five percent it is important that the PC is portable.

The survey shows that IT professionals are not really enthusiastic about AI PCs yet. Three percent indicate that they would buy a device because of AI compatibility. Microsoft and the PC manufacturers will not be happy to hear that…
