Philips is adding two new models to its 5000 series: the 24B2G5301 and 27B2G5601.
Philips ‘ new monitors focus on energy efficiency and connectivity and feature a built-in USB-C docking station, PowerSensor 2 and eco-friendly materials.
Energy efficient and functional
The Philips 24B2G5301 and 27B2G5601 have 23.8-inch and 27-inch screens, respectively. Both models feature a USB-C docking station with 100W power delivery, an RJ45 network port and a Smart KVM switch. The MultiView feature allows users to display multiple sources simultaneously, which Philips says facilitates multitasking.
Energy efficiency is a major focus of these models. The PowerSensor 2 detects a user’s presence and adjusts power consumption, while the LightSensor automatically controls brightness based on ambient light. This reduces unnecessary power consumption.
Durable materials and ergonomics
Both monitors are made of recycled materials, including 85 percent post-consumer recycled (PCR) and 5 percent ocean-bound plastic. The packaging is fully recyclable and FSC-certified. In addition, the screens feature TÜV Rheinland EyeSafe 40 certification and SoftBlue technology which should reduce eye strain.
For added user comfort, the monitors feature a height-adjustable stand and Flicker-Free technology to reduce flicker. This helps reduce fatigue during prolonged use, according to Philips.
The Philips 24B2G5301 and 27B2G5601 are available immediately at a suggested retail price of €329 and €389, respectively.
