Motorola expands the razr series with the Razr Fold, a foldable smartphone with a 6.6-inch external display and an 8.1-inch 2K LTPO internal display.
Motorola has announced the Razr Fold, a new foldable device within the razr family. It is the first time that Motorola has launched a foldable device in book form. Until now, the brand only released flip models, such as the Razr 60.
The Motorola Razr Fold has a 6.6-inch external display and an 8.1-inch internal 2K LTPO screen, and offers support for the Moto Pen Ultra stylus. According to the company, the device focuses on usage scenarios where users switch between compact use on the go and a larger work surface when the device is unfolded.
Motorola has not yet announced anything about the availability and price of the Razr Fold.
Larger screen
When the Razr Fold is open, the screen offers extra space for mail, documents and multitasking. Motorola talks about flexible layouts and customizable interfaces that adapt to the position of the device. The device also supports the Moto Pen Ultra stylus, which should simplify the use for notes and sketches.

In addition, Motorola is focusing on AI functions that run locally on the device. The company mentions, among other things, “Catch me up” and “Next Move”. These functions should help users to get summaries and plan follow-up steps.
Three 50MP cameras
For image capture, Motorola opts for a camera system with three 50MP sensors. This includes a main camera, an ultra-wide angle that also supports macro, and a 3x periscope telephoto lens. For selfies and video, Motorola places a 32MP camera on the outside, so recording remains possible with the device closed. On the inside is a 20MP camera for video calls and content.
With the Razr Fold, Motorola ends up in Samsung’s territory. The brand has already launched a whole series of flip and fold models, including the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, which our editors have already examined.
