ManageEngine expands Endpoint Central with DEX functionalities designed to enable IT teams to proactively detect and automatically resolve performance issues on endpoints.
ManageEngine has added new Digital Employee Experience (DEX) functionalities to its Endpoint Central platform. With the update, IT teams should be able to detect and resolve issues on end-user devices more quickly and proactively.
Better Visibility
The new capabilities within the platform give IT administrators more visibility into the performance of endpoints, such as laptops and desktops. For example, they can detect CPU spikes, memory issues, or slow boot times before they hinder employee productivity. The software links signals of poor performance to underlying causes, such as outdated hardware or resource-intensive applications.
ManageEngine also adds recovery actions to this. IT teams can automatically resolve issues with one click or through pre-set workflows. Furthermore, the software assigns scores to devices and applications based on stability and performance. These scores help to develop improvement trajectories within an organization.
The new features are available as a separate SaaS solution under the name DEX Manager Plus, or as an extension to Endpoint Central. ManageEngine targets organizations of various sizes with the new solution, from SMEs to large enterprises.
Towards Autonomous Management
ManageEngine sees the addition of DEX functionalities as a step towards autonomous endpoint management. According to the company, the focus is on proactive management, without IT teams having to intervene too often. Future updates are expected to further expand predictive analytics and self-healing automation.
Endpoint Central is a platform for unified endpoint management and endpoint protection. It supports organizations in managing and securing various devices and operating systems, both through on-premises and cloud-based solutions.
ManageEngine is a division of Zoho Corporation and provides IT and security management software to organizations worldwide.
