Lenovo closely integrates the ThinkSmart Core Gen 2 as a central brain with solutions from Huddly.
At ISE 2026 in Barcelona, Lenovo announced new combined bundles for meeting rooms. The new ThinkSmart Core Gen 2 from Lenovo itself is central. The PC and server specialist combines this with audio and video technology from Huddly. The packages aim for uniform management and a consistent experience for Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms.
Lenovo previously introduced the ThinkSmart Core Gen 2 with other solutions, such as PanaCast from Jabra. After all, the mini-PC tailored for meeting rooms is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 5 or Ultra 7. These CPUs from Intel are equipped with a so-called NPU, which Lenovo is only too happy to exploit. As with the laptops with the same processor, Lenovo points out that the ThinkSmart Core Gen 2 is optimized for local AI.
Together with Huddly
Lenovo is now enthusiastically linking the ThinkSmart Core Gen 2 to camera and video products from Huddly. On the Huddly side, this includes the C1 video bar and Crew add-on cameras. The C1 supports modes that automatically bring a speaker into view or follow the interaction in the group. The letters A and I are also used for this. However, the capacity is on the device from Huddly itself and is therefore separate from the ThinkSmart Core Gen 2.
For larger rooms, additional Crew cameras can be added. The system then automatically selects the most suitable image based on where someone is speaking and how participants relate to each other. According to the suppliers, the setup remains modular and plug-and-play.
The two companies want to offer a deeper integration between the computing platform and the peripherals in meeting rooms. Management is central via ThinkSmart Manager, with support for rooms of various sizes. The Lenovo ThinkSmart-Huddly bundles will be sold directly through Lenovo from the second quarter of 2026.
