The new WordPress AI Assistant is built into the editor and can add text, images, or colors to your website with a simple prompt.
There is nothing AI cannot do for you. Even building a website now requires hardly any coding or creative heavy lifting. WordPress is launching a new AI tool to help you fully customize your website to your liking.
The new AI Assistant comes on top of the AI Website Builder that WordPress launched previously. The Website Builder handles the coding, while the AI Assistant takes care of the visual side. You can chat with the tool to give your website’s layout a fresh look. The assistant is integrated directly into the WordPress editor.
In a blog post, WordPress lists several examples of what you can do with the tool. Because the tool understands your website’s content and style, it enables more complex adjustments, according to WordPress. Adding, rewriting, or translating text, designing a contact form, changing a page’s color, or making your website look ‘more modern’ are just a few things the AI assistant can perform.
Create images
WordPress is also adding Google’s Nano Banana model to the media library. This allows you to generate and add images to your website directly within the WordPress editor. Finally, the AI assistant can also work within specific blocks, such as providing suggestions to improve text or performing research.
The AI features in WordPress are not free. If you previously used the website builder to create your site, the AI Assistant is included as standard.
