Free PC Manager app in Windows 11 gets a lot smarter

Microsoft is releasing a new version of PC Manager with numerous improvements. With that tool, you can optimize your operating system.

Microsoft’s PC Manager application has received an update, version 3.14. A new feature allows you to display Internet speed directly in the taskbar. That means you can see how fast you are currently surfing, and keep track of your up and download speeds.

Update increases competitiveness

Microsoft wants PC Manager to compete with similar apps like CC Cleaner. Therefore, they have added some improvements. A new algorithm can recognize and delete unwanted and temporary files more efficiently. So you get more free hard drive space and better system performance. That can come in handy, especially when it was recently found that a bug in a Windows 11 update left nine gigabytes of files behind.

In addition, you can integrate PC Manager into Windows 11 Widgets to view important information quickly and easily.

Although, according to our poll, half of Belgian IT professionals already use Windows 11, the switch remains fairly unpopular. There are several reasons for this: the system requirements for the operating system are very high, updates cause crashes and blue screens, and the marketing does not go much beyond promoting Copilot+ computers.

The updated PC Manager is available for both Windows 10 and Windows 11. With this handy app, you’re going to see and delete files you didn’t even know existed, let alone how much space they were taking up.
