Rubrik introduces Agent Rewind, allowing organizations to trace and safely undo errors made by AI agents.
Rubrik has launched Agent Rewind, a new solution that helps organizations safely undo unwanted or erroneous actions by AI agents. The technology builds on the AI infrastructure of Predibase, which was recently acquired by Rubrik. Additionally, the company announced its collaboration with Sophos to better protect Microsoft 365 against cyber threats.
Recovery from AI Errors
AI agents can autonomously make decisions, but they are not infallible. Erroneous actions can lead to technical disruptions, legal risks, or data loss. Agent Rewind provides a way to reverse these errors. The solution combines Predibase’s AI infrastructure with Rubrik’s existing recovery technology.
With Agent Rewind, organizations gain insight into every step an AI agent has taken. The solution reveals what prompted an action, which tools were used, and what impact it had. Rubrik calls this “contextual insight”, aimed at targeted error correction. The solution supports Microsoft Copilot Studio, Amazon Bedrock Agents, and Agentforce, and is compatible with proprietary AI solutions.
Recovery operations are conducted via Rubrik Security Cloud, enabling rapid reversal of changes. This can involve files, configurations, databases, or code repositories. According to Rubrik, Agent Rewind goes beyond existing monitoring tools by not only recording what happened but also explaining why and how it can be reverted.
Collaboration with Sophos
In addition to Agent Rewind, Rubrik announces a new collaboration with Sophos to better protect Microsoft 365 against cyber threats with a new integrated backup and recovery solution: Sophos M365 Backup and Recovery Powered by Rubrik.
The solution supports IT and cybersecurity teams and provides a globally unified platform to strengthen cyber resilience against ransomware, account misuse, internal threats, and data loss within SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive, and Teams.
